Shares presents award to College
Community
Shares presented Pellissippi State the Institution of Change
Award during its Circle of Change Awards evening June 19.
The organization recognized the College for making higher
education more accessible with the Magnolia Avenue and Pellissippi
campuses and for its English as a Second Language program.
Community
Shares is a coalition of almost 50 organizations that
promotes social change and tackles the root causes of
hunger.
Pellissippi
State Foundation names new board, officers
The
Pellissippi State Foundation welcomed five new members
to its board of trustees and swore in new officers during
its quarterly meeting June 9. (more)
Pellissippi
State's 2004 Summer Camps
So
far this summer 187 children have enjoyed the Summer Camps
offered through Business and Community Services. Classes
are going on throughout the month of July. There’s
still time to register. Camps introduce the children to
archery, karate, etiquette, volleyball and computers—just
to name a few.

Foundation
looking for talented vocalists
The
Foundation is looking for vocalists to compete in “Pellissippi
Idol” during the Flying for FUNds 2004 Hot Air Balloon
Rally and Outdoor Festival August 27-28. This talent show
is open only to Pellissippi State students, both current
and past. Soloists or duos will be accepted, but no bands.
