has new billboard, commercial and mall presence
You can see the College’s marketing efforts in several
locations this summer—on the road, in the mall and
at the movies. Community Relations has been busy promoting
the College with a new billboard on Interstate 40, a commercial
for the movie theater and television, and displays at Knoxville
Center and West Town Mall. (more)

Tennessee Wesleyan partnership bridges transfer from two-
to four-year programs
Pellissippi State Technical Community College and Tennessee
Wesleyan College have signed an agreement that will allow
graduates in two of Pellissippi State’s “career/technical”
programs to transfer into TWC without losing any courses.

State targets booming plastics industry
To help meet the demand for trained personnel for the fast-growing
plastics manufacturing field, the College is developing
an industrial training concentration in Mechanical Engineering
Technology with the help of Sanford, a division of Newell
Rubbermaid in Blount County. (more)
Accounting
software training offered
You can learn
how to use Peachtree accounting software at a course being
offered on July 12.
Business and Community Services has joined with Coulter
and Justus Technology Solutions Group in Knoxville to offer
the eight-hour course. It will be conducted by a Peachtree
Premier Trainer, and the fee is $250. The course will be
offered on the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road.
