Pellissippi State Foundation names officers, trustees for 2005-06

Phyllis Driver, associate professor of accounting at Carson-Newman College, has been elected chair of the Pellissippi State Foundation board of trustees for 2005-06. Lou Ann Hamilton, vice president of MARSH insurance brokers, has been elected vice chair, and Christine Lee, director of human resources for the Oak Ridge school system, has been elected secretary-treasurer.

Committee heads for the coming year are Don Shell, chief executive officer of Community Tectonics, finance; Pamela Rayburn-Chips, director of human resources for Emerson Process Management, projects; and Carolyn Bryant, marketing and outreach coordinator and fundraiser for Knox Housing Partnership Inc., nominating. Also, Kelsey Finch, contract compliance officer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation, has been elected parliamentarian.

New trustees are Gracie Bishop of Knoxville, vice president and director of human resources for Home Federal Bank; Charles W. “Wes” Carruthers Jr. of Maryville, vice president of Downey Oil Co. and KenJo Markets; Ron Feinbaum of Knoxville, senior vice president of Scripps Networks; Jonathan Hayes of Knoxville, investment associate at UBS Financial Service; Bill Jenkins of Knoxville, a retired BASF North America and Henkel KGaA executive; Joseph L. Johnson of Knoxville, owner of A&W Office Supply; Peggy McCord, a Blount County community leader; Todd Moody of Knoxville, a lawyer with Hagood, Tarpy & Cox; Evelyn Sandlin of Maryville, director of advertising and creative services for the Maryville Daily Times; and Debbie Stevens of Knoxville, a lawyer with Lewis, King, Krieg & Waldrop.

The Pellissippi State Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of community leaders, is the fundraising entity for Pellissippi State Technical Community College and provides a variety of direct aid to students. The Foundation also purchases equipment needed in the college’s instructional areas and supports recognition programs for students, faculty and staff.
