Pellissippi State GED recipient named region’s top adult learner

Libby Reed presented her newly earned GED diploma to her ailing mother as a Christmas present last year. Now Reed is one of Tennessee’s top adult students. (more)



TBR Magnolia Avenue Nursing Center opens Aug. 1

The presidents of Pellissippi State and Roane State Community College will mark the completion of new instructional space for the Tennessee Board of Regents Magnolia Avenue Nursing Center next month. (more)



Pellissippi State Foundation names officers, trustees for 2005-06

Phyllis Driver, associate professor of accounting at Carson-Newman College, has been elected chair of the Pellissippi State Foundation board of trustees for 2005-06. Lou Ann Hamilton, vice president of MARSH insurance brokers, has been elected vice chair, and Christine Lee, director of human resources for the Oak Ridge school system, has been elected secretary-treasurer.
