The balloons are back!
Come to Pellissippi State’s Fourth Annual Hot Air Balloon Festival on September 28-29 and you’ll find 25 of the fabulous flying machines.
Home to one of the largest hot air balloon festivals in East Tennessee, the College once again is preparing to welcome tens of thousands of visitors to the Pellissippi Campus on Hardin Valley Road.

Volunteers
are still needed for the Hot Air Balloon Festival!
All are asked to work a minimum of a three-hour shift.
As a volunteer, you’ll receive such perks as
one complimentary weekend car pass that will provide
you and the guests in your vehicle entry to the festival,
a volunteer T-shirt to wear at the festival and one
entry (per three-hour shift) to win a balloon ride

Miller and the Commonwealth to take stage pre-festival
Americana musician Scott Miller and his band,
the Commonwealth, will perform in their adopted hometown
of Knoxville on Thursday, September 27, to kick off the

The Security Engineering and Administration Technology degree program at Pellissippi State now offers a course that prepares students to earn the nationally recognized credential of Certified Protection Officer. (more)

line of the poem “Glossolalia” only begins to
describe the frustration and anger Edward Francisco, Pellissippi
State writer-in-residence, feels about the hijacking of

County library director to speak at Constitution Day
Larry Frank, Knox County Public Library director, will be
the featured speaker for the third annual observance of
