College offers etiquette seminar to help you seal the deal

Success in the corporate world isn’t always based just on what you learned in college. Sometimes, knowing how to behave at a business or social function can get you noticed, too.

To help you polish your personal skills for the professional world, Pellissippi State’s Business and Community Services Division is offering a seminar on business etiquette.

Participants can attend the seminar on September 12 or October 19. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m. in the Goins Cafeteria on the Pellissippi Campus.

“Manners Make the Difference©, Sealing the Deal with the Correct Corporate Etiquette” can benefit the business owner, salesperson, manager, corporate executive and aspiring executive who want to enhance their etiquette skills in the interview process, the boardroom and the international business world.

The seminar was created and is taught by Patty Fowler, a nationally recognized event planner and etiquette specialist.

The session consists of a four-course meal, teaching scenarios and a question-and-answer session. Participants also will receive a CD-ROM with information on 25 corporate etiquette issues.

The fee is $299 and pre-registration is required. For more information, call BCS at 539-7167.
