TRIO enrolls students during September

TRIO Student Support Services is more than just about tutoring. It offers academic support services for students with academic need who meet eligibility requirements. To be eligible, students must be first-generation (defined as neither parent’s having graduated from college), low-income or have a disability. Students are generally considered to have academic need if they have placed into developmental courses.

Interested students are encouraged to apply for enrollment in TRIO through September 30 for the 2004 fall semester. Space is limited to 160 students, so it is important for students to complete an application as soon as possible.

The benefits of the TRIO program include peer tutoring, success seminars, academic resources for checkout, assistance with financial aid and assistance in transferring to four-year colleges. Those services are provided in addition to the services already available for other students.
