Effective fall 2007, Pellissippi State will
combine four business-related programs into one as a way
to increase job opportunities for graduates, benefit employers
and make more efficient use of resources within the College.

few months back, our own KD Lawson, associate professor
and program coordinator of Photography, was an extra in
the movie “We Are Marshall,” scheduled to be

bestows philosophy endowment
Charles Cardwell, assistant professor of
Philosophy, has established a new endowment with the Pellissippi

Enrollment’: high schoolers earn Pellissippi State
credits at reduced cost
Juniors and seniors in five Blount County
high schools are earning college credits this fall—and
getting a tuition break—thanks to Pellissippi State
and a lottery-funded state grant. (more)

Queener selected for professional association’s Leadership
Program
Karen Queener, director of Human Resources
and Affirmative Action at the College, was recently invited
to participate in the College and University Professional
Association for Human Resources’ Association Leadership

honored for leadership role with Heart of Knoxville
Cynthia Manning-Dirl, Heart of Knoxville
Career and Resource Center director, has been recognized
for excellent leadership by the board of directors of Midway
