Name: Garry Pennycuff

Title: Assistant Professor, Chemistry

Major responsibilities: Lead instructor for Chemistry 1010 and Chemistry 1310, Faculty Senate, liaison to area middle school teachers

Length of service at the College: 4 years

Place of birth: Upper Sandusky, Ohio

Family members: Wife, Sheila, and hopefully some adopted boys by next year!

Something no one knows about you: I appeared in “Midnight Confessions” on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.”

Greatest achievement or proudest moment: When a former Pellissippi State student came back and told me I had not only taught her chemistry but had also “changed [her] as a person for the rest of [her] life.”

Favorite things outside work: Hiking, reading, music and my dog, Kona.

Most rewarding part of your job: Working with such great educators and “seeing the light come on” for students!

Most influential person in your life and why: My wife, Sheila, because she fills in for all my flaws.
