Manning-Dirl honored for leadership role with Heart of KnoxvilleCynthia Manning-Dirl, Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center director, has been recognized for excellent leadership by the board of directors of Midway Rehabilitation Center. The Career Center, which is located on the Magnolia Avenue Campus, provides funding for students who live in Knoxville’s Empowerment Zone to obtain job skills training they can apply to their career goals. The Empowerment Zone is an area that receives federal dollars aimed at reducing its poverty and unemployment levels, poor housing conditions and low graduation rate. Manning-Dirl was selected for her leadership role with the Career
Center in improving the quality of life for East Knoxville citizens.
She will be honored at a banquet and silent auction September
