October 6, 2003 Foundation internal campaign has record year! The Pellissippi State Foundation recently announced the results of the 2003–2004 Internal Campaign. Thanks to the generous support of faculty and staff, the campaign has had a record year. This campaign raised $34,426.92, with additional pledges expected to arrive later this week. These results represent a 68.8 percent increase in dollars, or $14,026.92 new dollars from last year’s campaign. In addition, 66 percent of faculty and staff participated in the campaign, shattering last year’s participation level of around 25 percent. As a result of your generosity, more than $10,000 will be matched by the Title III Endowment Challenge Grant. Pat Lee, Julia Wood and Bill Brewer served as this year’s campaign chairs. The steering committee and departmental coordinators were Brenda Ammons, Cindy Arnold, Chad Becker, Karen Cornell, Rachael Cragle, Joan Davis, Joan Easterly, Judy Fethe, Pat Lee, Pat Myers, Joan Newman, Jo Ann Pantanizopoulos, Judy Radford, Harold Rowland, Jane Shelton, Leigh Anne Touzeau, Suzanne Walker, Bob Watson, Audrey Williams, Lois Williams, Nancy Wright and Pat Zingg. Special thanks go to Gypsy Harrill, Kaye McCartt and the Payroll staff for processing hundreds of pledge forms during the campaign. The friendly competition among the three employee groups was very close. All three councils—Administrative, Faculty and Support Staff—were generous during this campaign. However, the Faculty Council had the highest percentage of participation. As a result, each faculty member will receive a 10-day pass from The Rush and a free sandwich from Lenny’s Sub Shop. With this reward, you can eat a great meal and then go work those calories off. Faculty and others won great prizes in this campaign, but we are all winners, because we serve this college, these students, and this community so well. Your generosity and passion for your work are inspiring, and the Foundation thanks you for your leadership and commitment. Search Pellissippi State News Releases.
