Haslams give College $1 million

  Community leaders Dee Bagwell Haslam and James A. (Jimmy) Haslam III have secured funds of $1 million to be given to Pellissippi State.

The gift represents the largest contribution the College has ever received. (more)



Groundbreaking launches art and Media Technologies building construction

Pellissippi State formally broke ground September 26, on a 27,000-square-foot facility that will house the College’s Media Technologies program, as well as fine arts. (more)



OST’s Martha Merrill named Business Educator of the Year

Martha Merrill, associate professor of Office Systems Technology, has been named the Business Educator of the Year by the Tennessee Business Education Association. (more)



Three Knox County high schools join Pellissippi State ‘Dual Enrollment’ partnership

With the recent addition of Carter, Halls and Catholic high schools to the “Dual Enrollment” partnership offered through Pellissippi State, students from seven Knox County schools can now get ahead on taking college courses at a reduced tuition rate. (more)



Student work in Media Technologies showcased at Downtown’s Emporium Center

  Students from Pellissippi State’s Media Technologies program showcased their work in the Three Flights Up gallery in the Arts & Culture Alliance’s Emporium Center September 14-28. (more)


College offers non-credit American Sign Language course

Want to broaden your communication skills? Register for the fall non-credit course in American Sign Language basics at the Blount County Center. The class, scheduled October 12-December 7, is for people who have no prior knowledge of American Sign Language. (more)
