Fall Concert features talented choral groupsTwo Pellissippi State choirs will perform for this year's Fall Concert."It is a classic choral concert," said Bill Brewer, who conducts both choirs. "The audience will hear the choral classics, contemporary literature, spirituals—it's a variety of styles and time periods." Concert Chorale is a non-auditioned choir of 30 members. Variations, with 24 members, comprises students who auditioned for the group. Between them, they feature what Brewer called "50 of Pellissippi's most talented students." (A few students perform in both choirs.) The Fall Concert, scheduled for 8 p.m. on Oct. 28 in the Performing Arts Center, is the second offering from the Pellissippi State Music area this fall. On Nov. 11 the Small Ensemble Fall Concert will feature the Harp Ensemble, conducted by Elizabeth Farr, in its first formal presentation; the Guitar Ensemble, conducted by Harold Nagge; and the Celtic Ensemble, also conducted by Elizabeth Farr.
Admission is free to all concerts, but donations for the Music Scholarship Fund will be accepted at the door. For more information about these performances, contact the Music office at 694-6702.
