Hudson receives Human Resources award

Mike Hudson, a longtime employee of Pellissippi State, has been presented the 2006 Human Resources Management Excellence Award from the Society for Human Resources Management State Council and Tennessee Valley Human Resources Association.

“It was totally unexpected,” said Hudson, director of Business and Professional Programs and Certificate Programs. “I felt very honored and humbled receiving this award.”

The award was made at the 14th Annual Tennessee State Human Resources conference held in Gatlinburg on September 21.

Hudson has been in the TVHRA for 33 years and has served in a number of capacities, including as state conference chair a record four times. Hudson also works on the TVHRA scholarship program and the Society for Human Resources Management national certification program offered through the TVHRA.
