math, science
Pellissippi State will administer a new $1.25
million three-year grant from the National Science Foundation
to support math and science instruction for future elementary
schoolteachers.

Student’s
work gets prominent display
On track to earn her associate’s degree in May, Lydia
Light has designed her first billboard for display on Kingston
Pike atop Bearden Hill. And what began as an unpaid internship
for at local ad agency Low + Tritt Inc. has become a designer’s

The role of fashion in culture will be explored in an interactive

Information Day is October 25
Students preparing for graduation can take steps to ease
the process along during Graduation Information Day October
25 in the Goins Rotunda. Students are invited to come by

The Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center is sponsoring
a Fall Employment Festival October 27. The festival will
take place 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Magnolia Avenue Campus

focuses on suicide warning signs
Identifying the warning signs of potential suicide will
be the subject of a free workshop November 1 at the Blount

Anderson
to lead Greece trip in May
Instead of just reading about famous Greek philosophers,
some students will get a better understanding of the subject
