Pellissippi State schedules Fall Concert

Two Pellissippi State choirs, Concert Chorale and Variations, will perform for this year’s Fall Concert.

“It is a classic choral concert,” said Bill Brewer, who conducts both choirs. “The audience will hear classics from the Renaissance to contemporary selections—it’s a variety of styles and time periods.”

Concert Chorale is a non-auditioned choir of 43 members. Variations, with 36 members, is comprised of students who auditioned for the group. Between them, they feature what Brewer calls “some of Pellissippi State’s most talented students.”

The Fall Concert, scheduled for November 4 at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, is the second offering from the Pellissippi State Music concert series this fall.

On November 16 the Small Ensemble Fall Concert will feature the Harp Ensemble, conducted by Elizabeth Farr; the Guitar Ensemble, conducted by Harold Nagge; and the Celtic Ensemble, also conducted by Elizabeth Farr.

Admission is free to all concerts, but donations for the Music Scholarship Fund will be accepted at the door. For more information about these performances, contact the Music Office at 694-6702.
