International Education Week 2003 kicks off Monday
“Think Globally, Live Locally” is the theme for this year's International Education Week. You're invited to participate in a host of planned events:
Monday - Pellissippi State's Amazing Race
Student organizations will compete 2-4 p.m., starting in the Student Lounge, for a chance to win $100. Participants will follow clues to lead them to their destination of “Pellissippia.”
Wednesday - International Marketplace
Located in the Goins Rotunda and entrance hallway 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Experience the sights and sounds of a traditional ancient marketplace. There will be international items for sale and show, as well as people dressed in native garb.
Thursday - International Festival at the Division Street Campus
International students will exhibit items from their homelands 10 a.m.-noon.
Friday - Speaker: Dr. Ray Smith, director of the MBA program at King College
Smith will speak on “The World in Which We Live: Preparing for the Interdependent Global Economy” at noon in the Goins Student Lounge.
