Magnolia Avenue Nursing Center scheduled for fall 2005
Roane
State Community College is slated to expand its nursing
program in Knox County beginning fall 2005 through a newly
established agreement with Pellissippi State. The agreement
allows for Roane State to begin offering its nursing program
at the Magnolia Avenue Campus, forming the TBR (Tennessee
Board of Regents) Magnolia Avenue Nursing Center. (more)
Area professionals
speak on changes in marketing through media
As
technology and audience habits change, companies that
specialize in helping businesses market their products
through the media must also change the way they do business.
Several area media professionals will participate in a
free panel discussion November 17 here to discuss the
changes they’ve seen and how their companies are
adjusting. The seminar is the second in a series at the
College on “The Future of Marketing” in East
Tennessee. (more)
New
student group sponsors trash cleanup day
The
public is invited to join in a campus and community litter
pickup campaign sponsored by the Magnolia Avenue Garden
Club, a new student organization at Pellissippi State.
The pickup will begin at 1 p.m. on November 17 at the
Magnolia Avenue Campus. Keep Knoxville Beautiful will
provide vests, gloves and trash bags for the group. (more)

State offers skiing and snowboarding instruction
Want
to sharpen your skills on the slopes? Pellissippi State
offers classes in both skiing and snowboarding this winter.
Options include four consecutive days on the slopes or
a series of once-a-week sessions. (more)

receives marketing awards
Pellissippi
State was presented with two Medallion Awards for its
marketing efforts during a recent National Council for
Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) District 2 conference
in Covington, Kentucky. The College received a silver
award for its photograph of an art student creating prints
and a bronze award for its viewbook, a publication the
college uses for student recruitment. (more)
