Pellissippi State Foundation board chair Wooley named Community Honoree

Architect David Wooley, chair of the Pellissippi State Foundation Board of Trustees, was named a Community Honoree by the Association of Fundraising Professionals at its National Philanthropy Day celebration November 1.

Pellissippi State nominated Wooley in honor of his work for the Foundation on behalf of the college.

Wooley has supported Pellissippi State as board chair, as a volunteer at numerous college events and as a cabinet member of the Connecting Communities, Changing Lives Major Gifts Campaign, which is current under way.

Wooley is chair and COO of BarberMcMurry architects. BarberMcMurry has endowed scholarships to support deserving students and invested in many other special fundraising projects through the years.

Under Wooley’s leadership, the Foundation has secured private gifts in excess of $4.7 million for the current campaign.
