Queener named co-president of new human resources group

Karen Queener, director of Human Resources, has been named co-president of a Tennessee state chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources that has been established in Knoxville.

The group’s inaugural meeting took place October 19, with more than 40 people attending. Queener and Jennifer Hunt, director of Human Resources at Maryville College, are serving as co-presidents.

The association consists of higher education human resources administrators and staff members, from both private and public institutions.

Queener also is serving as the chair of the Host Committee for the association’s Southern Region conference scheduled April 9-12 at the Knoxville Marriott Hotel. The regional meeting will attract participants from 11 Southern states.
