Inside Pellissippi

Free computer skills classes to be offered

Free computer skills classes for beginners are being offered at four locations by the Adult Education Program. The classes will focus on computer literacy, word processing, Internet and e-mail usage and simple spreadsheets.

Each class will meet twice weekly for three weeks, for 18 total hours of instruction. Days and times are as follows:

* Heart of Knoxville Career and Resource Center at the Magnolia Avenue Campus, Tuesday and Thursday, 2-5 p.m., with starting dates of January 24, February 14, March 7, March 28 and April 18.

* Knox County Clerk’s Office at Knoxville Center, Tuesday and Thursday, 1-4 p.m., with starting dates of January 24, February 14, March 7, March 28 and April 18.

* Tennessee Career Center at 1610 University Avenue, Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-noon, with starting dates of January 24, February 14, March 7, March 28 and April 18.

* Knox County Clerk’s Office in Halls, 7028 Maynardville Highway, Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-noon or 1-4 p.m., with starting dates of January 23, February 13, March 6 and March 27. The March 27 session will not include instruction on spreadsheets.
