UT Bridge Student Information

Hello, UT/Pellissippi State Bridge students:

We are aware that the uncertainty regarding your Pellissippi State classes has been difficult for you. Thank you for your patience while we formulated a plan for the time following Spring Break, which like the University of Tennessee’s is next week, March 16-22.

Pellissippi State will extend spring break for students until Monday, March 30. On that date, most classes will transition to online delivery until April 12. At that time, we will re-evaluate whether students and faculty can safely return to the classroom.

Even during the March 30-April 12 period, some classes with labs or studio time may meet in person once a week. Science labs will be conducted virtually. I urge you to watch for information from your professors either via email or on Brightspace.

I know some of you have had questions about your housing arrangements, and those will be addressed in communications from the University of Tennessee.

You are valued members of the Pellissippi State community, and we want you to take care of yourselves. So please follow the advice of the Centers for Disease Control with regard to hygiene and travel.

The current situation presents a challenge to us all, but we will work together to make the semester successful.

I wish you the best as you pursue your education.
