Blueberry-Chipotle BBQ Sauce

2 cup fresh blueberries
½ cup balsamic vinegar
½ tsp. salt
2 Tbsp red onion, minced
1 tsp. chipotle pepper
3 Tbsp ketchup
3 ½ Tbsp sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp. worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. olive oil

  1. Saute the garlic & onion in the olive oil until they start to brown.
  2. Add the vinegar, the worcestershire sauce, and the blueberries.
  3. Simmer and cook mixture down for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add all spices, salt, sugar, and ketchup.  Stir well.
  5. Continue to simmer and cook down until mixture is sweet and thickened, and is no longer sour from the vinegar.
