Web Technology (A.A.S.)

Web development and design are among the most in-demand careers today, and they will be for quite some time. They require creative problem-solving skills and technological know-how and allow for a wide opportunity of career paths from the corporate world to working from home – or anywhere.

Pellissippi State’s Media Technologies/Web Technology Concentration offers hands-on experience in the latest authoring and scripting languages for creating content and digital media, managing and deploying e-business solutions servers and maintaining websites for small to large-scale operations.

You will learn from working professionals who stay up to date on the latest technology and trends. Nearly all classes are available online so that you can earn your associate degree on your own time at your convenience. If you decide to go traditional and study on site, our Hardin Valley Campus has everything you need. Our mini-lab in the Bagwell Center for Media and Arts offers access to some of the best computer equipment in the area, with full-time IT support. And our instructors have generous office hours, so feel free to drop by any time to ask questions, chat or just grab a piece of candy.

With each class and project, you come closer to a polished and professional portfolio ready to show to potential employers. Combined with the real-world experience gained in a 60-hour internship, you’ll be career-ready by the time you graduate with your associate degree.
