Ms. Shubzda began teaching at Pellissippi State Technical Community College in the fall of 2006 as adjunct faculty. Julie joined the Interior Design Department as a full-time temporary position in the spring of 2006 and became fulltime faculty in August 2007.

Ms. Shubzda graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, majoring in Interior Design. She received her Master of Science from the University of Tennessee, majoring in Interior Design.

Julie has design experience with Ivan Allen Workspace, HST Interior Elements, Bearden Decorating and Town House Interiors. She is NCIDQ certified (National Council of Interior Design Certification #019587), and is a licensed interior designer in the state of Tennessee.
