What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual Enrollment classes are courses that provide a student
with both high school and college credit simultaneously. High School students
may accelerate their college education through dual enrollment courses.
Steps to become a dual enrollment student at Pellissippi State:

Complete an application for admissions, complete the hepatitis B form, and pay a $10.00 application fee. At the beginning of the application process, choose EARLY ADMIT as your application type. When selecting your ‘intended major’ please choose DUAL.

- Submit a valid
ACT or SAT test score (valid means taken within the past 3 years).
We offer the ACT at Pellissippi State for a fee of $30.00. The tests
dates are listed here for summer.
- Submit a transcript
from High School or Home School Umbrella or Independent School Administrator.
- If you have completed
the 10th grade, you may be eligible for the dual enrollment grant.

What is the Dual Enrollment
Grant?
It is a stand-alone grant provided by the lottery funds through the State of Tennessee. Beginning as early as the first term of their junior year, students are awarded as much as $300 for each term of study. After the first grant award, students must reapply to get the grant the following semester.”
