Catalog Course Description:    
  This course is an introduction to K-6 classroom management techniques.  Topics include: physical space, behavioral norms, safety, time management, student work management, and other special classroom needs.
Entry Level Standards:    
  Must be able to read and write at the college level

  Elementary Classroom Management: Lessons from Research and Practice, 3rd edition by Weinstein and Mignano: McGraw-Hill.

Grades will be calculated based on discussions via bulletin boards, online journals, field experience assignments, chapter tests, final exam, and other assignments as given by the instructor.

VI. Policies:
A. Attendance Policy:
Pellissippi State Technical Community College expects students to attend all scheduled instructional activities. As a minimum, students in all courses must be present for at least 75 percent of their scheduled class and laboratory meetings in order to receive credit for the course.

In keeping with college-wide policies, the student is expected to adhere to the general rule and regulations relevant to academic and classroom misconduct as outlined in the catalog.
