OF FACULTY PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH
In compliance with TBR Policy No. 5:02:01:03, a
certification form is to be completed for each individual appointed to a
teaching position or recommended for tenure.
TBR Policy states that at a minimum a candidate shall demonstrate:
A) An
ability to speak and write English clearly;
B) An ability to understand written and spoken
English; and
C) An
ability to communicate effectively in an academic environment (for example,
previous successful employment in an academic
institution).
