Arlene Cleveland, Program Coordinator of the Paralegal Studies degree program, was the recipient of the Faculty of the Year Award as determined by the students. She received the award at Pellissippi's annual Academic Awards Ceremony, March 31, 2008.

   Tom Gaddis, Program Coordinator of Hospitality, received a Pauly Award for outstanding service from the Knoxville Tourism Alliance and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. The award is named after Paul Sherbakoff who has been recognized as one whose lifetime accomplishments have raised the level of tourism in the Knoxville area.

   Martha Merrill, Associate Professor of Office Systems Technology, received the TBR Lana Doncaster Innovations Award at Pellissippi's 2008 Employee Appreciation Day Ceremony. The Innovations Award recognizes the demonstrated success of creative and original instructional and learning support activities at the College.
