Trudy Coleman came to Pellissippi State in 1987 from Bechtel National, Inc.   She was hired as the Coordinator of the Center for Advanced Office Systems.  In this position, she supervised Office Systems Technology students in an on-site real work environment; guided them in resume development, professionalism and interviewing skills; and also placed them in internships with area employers.  Success in this area led to the newly created position of Coordinator of Internships for Business and Computer Technology, which she assumed in January 2000.  

Her responsibilities now include the internships from the programs listed at left.  The goals of this position are to:

• help students find desirable and successful jobs in their major field of study,
• assure all standards and requirements of the internship courses are being met,
• facilitate the process for both student and employer, and ultimately,
• bring more committed employers into partnership with the college for the purpose of providing internships and future employment.
