The components of the
process for improvement of teaching and learning in the classroom are the same as for
the IE cycle. Both processes support continuous improvement.

As classroom assessment provides information to the instructor, refinements and
improvements can be made to teaching and learning processes. As results indicate
the success of an experiment in classroom instruction, information is available
for administrative decisions regarding reallocation of resources to support
institutionalization of the change.
