NOTES:
- A maximum of 90 quarter hours for the bachelor of fine arts degree may be given for courses appropriate to the SCAD curriculum.
- Only grades of at least “C” may be transferred.
- Each course must be worth at least three semester hours.
- A portfolio review is required for transfer of specific studio courses during the student’s first quarter of enrollment and for final determination of transfer credit.
- Academic advisors recommend the scheduling of two studio courses and one non-studio course each semester to avoid sequencing issues.
- Minimum qualifications for admittance into the architecture program include SAT math scores of at least 540, or ACT math scores of at least 23, or other evidence of aptitude for the study of mathematics and science. Students who lack this qualification but otherwise qualify for acceptance to the college may pursue another major, or these students must complete MATH 101, MATH 201, and PHYS 201 with a grade of “C” or higher in order to pursue the architecture degree.
- Please contact the Savannah College of Art and Design Admission office for alternative couse suggestions.
