University of Tennessee, Knoxville
Transfer Equivalency Information

The University will accept, by transfer, coursework taken at Pellissippi State Technical Community College as indicated.  "LD" Credit indicates that UTK does not have an equivalent course or that the individual department at UTK may need additional information in order to evaluate the course.  The use of such credit to meet curricular requirements (e.g. major requirements, general education requirements, or distribution requirements) must have the approval of the college in which your major program is located.  Please see a UT advisor for more information.

Effective Fall 1986, transfer credit is granted only for courses in which a grade of "C" or better was earned, except were an articulation agreement is completed.

Students transferring to UTK should also note that every student is required to earn 60 hours of credit in a four-year college or university, and his/her last 30 hours of credit at UTK.

For additional information concerning transfer credit evaluation or admission as a transfer student, please contact the Office of Admissions at (865) 974-2184 or toll free within Tennessee, 1-800-221-8657.
