Pellissippi State Facilities DepartmentHVAC
The Facilities Department operates and maintains the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for all campuses. We strive to maintain building and room temperatures between 69-72 degrees, and indoor humidity levels between 30%-60%. This is in accordance with the ASHRAE standard 62-1999 as adopted by the Federal Government. Problems regarding room temperatures should be addressed through a service request submitted through your departmental secretary, or call 6618, if it requires immediate attention. If you have questions or concerns regarding Indoor Air Quality please contact Dave Walton at 7096, or email at DGWALTON@pstcc.edu.
For an explanation of how our central plant heating and air conditioning system operates, please refer to the link HVAC 101.
Please do not attempt to adjust thermostats yourself. These are not like your home units and act primarily as sensors rather than controls. Most room temperature issues are a result of other equipment problems. Please call 6618 for hot/cold complaints.
