No new students will be enrolled in the Geographic Information Systems program
effective 2007 Fall . Please see below.


Due to low enrollment of the program under the Tennessee Board of Regents' guidelines, Pellissippi State regrets that we must deactivate the program. In order for academic programs to be sustained in the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system, there must be an average of at least 10 graduates per year and the GIS program has not meet this requirement.

During the next semesters, Pellissippi State will work with students currently in the program to schedule the courses that they need to graduate. The schedule of course offerings is as follows:

These courses will all be offered as evening classes at the Pellissippi State Parkway Campus.
Beginning August 15, 2007, Benjamin K. Bryan will be serving as temporary fulltime member of the Engineering and Media Technologies Department to assist students who are currently enrolled in the program.
