Pellissippi State offers a two-year degree in hospitality, with three optional focuses (Tourism/Travel, Lodging and Food and Beverage) which provides students with the necessary skills to gain entry into the hospitality industry as management trainees. Varied course work allows students to learn the fundamentals of hospitality management. The curriculum requires students to work in the industry to supplement classroom knowledge and gain essential hands-on experience.
We have also recently added a culinary program in association with the Lakeside Resort and Educational Complex. Training in the Culinary Arts is an intense and abbreviated course that focuses on hands-on food preparation and classroom courses designed to develop participants into professional food preparation employees.
