Conduct Research: Overview

Any research conducted at Pellissippi State or using Pellissippi State employees or students must be approved by the Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Research and Planning. The process for seeking approval is

    1. Complete request as outlined in Pellissippi State Policy 08:02:01, "Conduct Research at Pellissippi State."

IRB/Human Subjects Research -- The Pellissippi State Community College Institutional Review Board (IRB) regulates research activities involving human subjects by ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations.

Protecting the Privacy of Student Education Records :

Request to Conduct Survey Form -- This is an online form that faculty and staff must submit to the IR office before they conduct any survey at the College using a Pellissippi State population. It also provides a database to produce the Survey Archive.

Survey Archive -- This is an inventory of surveys conducted at the College. It provides the name of the person who can provide more information about the survey or the results of the survey, if available.
