IRB: Policies and Procedures for the Review System for Human Subjects Research Pellissippi State falls under Federalwide Assurance (FWA) #FWA00014395 issued and approved by the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This obligates the College to comply with federal regulations and requirements for human subjects research. All research conducted at Pellissippi State or by Pellissippi State employees or students falls under the requirements of the assurance that the College submitted to OHRP. All research (including surveys and questionnaires) involving human subjects or data collected directly or through records (e.g., medical records, specimens, and educational test results) must be reviewed by the Pellissippi State Institutional Review Board.
