2008-2009 COLLEGE-WIDE PLANNING PROCESS AND PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN CALENDAR

A. Planning Process for Evaluating Unit/Program/Departmental and Divisional Goals

-For July 2009 - June 2010

A. Evaluating Performance Review Goals for April 2008 - March 2009

B. Developing New Performance Review Goals for July 2009 - June 2010

February 2 - April 1, 2009    Supervisors discuss performance review calendar, performance review forms, and performance review process with employee.


Employee performance review evaluations are based on a 12-month period, April 2008 - March 2009, and employee performance goals are determined for July 2009-June 2010. Goals not addressed for April, May, and June 2009 will be carried forward into the July 2009-June 2010 year and evaluated in the next evaluation cycle.


The individual Self-Evaluation Worksheet is due to the employee’s immediate supervisor. However, completing the individual Self-Evaluation Worksheet is voluntary. (Page 2, Performance Review and Development Plan, 11/02, HR Document)


The employee’s evaluation of the supervisor is due to the administrative level above the immediate supervisor. However, completing the supervisor evaluation is voluntary. (Page 3, Performance Review and Development Plan, 11/02, HR Document)


The individual Self-Evaluation Worksheet and the Supervisor's Evaluation must be completed (if the employee chooses to complete) before the supervisor can complete the performance review. Employee should determine completion date of these forms with Supervisor.


Department Head/Supervisor completes the performance review documentation for each employee. The performance documentation (evaluation and goals) is reviewed with the administrative supervisor before presentation to the employee. The Supervisor discusses the 2008-2009 performance evaluation and determines an overall performance rating. (Page 7, Part 6, Performance Review and Development Plan, 11/02, HR Document)


Evaluate unit/program/departmental and divisional 2008-2009 (April-March) plans; Develop unit/program/departmental and divisional 2009-2010 (July-June) plans.

March 20, 2009 Departmental/Divisional IT Plans due to Vice President of Information Services

April 1, 2009 All Performance review documentation for 2008-2009 submitted to Human Resource. For 2009-2010, complete Parts 4,7, and 8 of the Performance Review and Development Plan form.

April 1, 2009 Unit/program/departmental and divisional evaluation plans for 2008- 2009 goals and new goals (unit/program/departmental and divisional plans) and budget requests for FY 2009-2010 due to Vice Presidents.

April 6, 2009 Budget Request from departments/divisions due to the Vice President of Business and Finance.

All unit/program/departmental and divisional plans, including evaluations of goals for April 2008-March 2009 and goals for FY 2009-2010 forwarded to Institutional Effectiveness, Research, and Planning Office.

April 30, 2009 IT Plans due to the Vice President of Business and Finance from Vice President of IT.

May 2009 Budget, IT Plans, Long-Range Planning due to TBR from Vice President of Business and Finance

July 2009 Individual 2009-2010 performance review goals reviewed by employee and supervisor to update as needed. (Required)

November 2009 Individual 2009-2010 performance review goals reviewed by employee and supervisor. (Required)

February 2010 Begin April 2009-March 2010 performance review and evaluation of unit/program/departmental and divisional goals process, and begin 2010-2011 unit/program/departmental and divisional planning process.
