Academic Program Review

Purpose of Program Review

Program review at Pellissippi State is conducted to achieve several objectives:

• to identify trends within the program
• to identify significant program course problems requiring program adjustments or further review
• to provide information for local and state level review
• to develop recommendations for program improvement from program faculty and, if required by TBR, an outside peer review team.

Program reviews are required by THEC and TBR as a method for quality assurance of academic programs, and part of the THEC Performance Funding award is based on program reviews.
