Communication Graphics
The Communication Graphics concentration (CGT) educates students in the art of visual communications. Students receive hands-on training in visual fundamentals, problem solving, and visual/verbal concept development. Emphasis is placed on the use of computer-enhanced technology and contemporary software applications throughout the program to support the development of professional portfolios. The program prepares graduates for employment in design consulting firms, advertising agencies, in-house design agencies, electronic prepress service bureaus, media outlets & printing companies, web page design & development firms, and freelance practice.

Facilities
Fully equipped Macintosh labs are available for instruction and for use by students. Equipment includes state-of-the-art Apple computers, flatbed and film scanners, and tabloid+ capable laser and ink-jet color printers. Software applications in the design/illustration classes include Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Flash; QuarkXPress; and Cinema 4D XL.
Although students are required to supply their own equipment, a number of digital cameras are available for student use in the studio and on location as well as a wide selection of lenses, meters, and portable lighting equipment.
The latest industry-standard software tools are also available for student use in ours labs, including Adobe Photoshop®, Lightroom®, Bridge®, Camera Raw®, and camera control software by Nikon and Canon.
