Facilities

Professional teleproduction studio facilities feature digital studio cameras, a broadcast quality switcher, character generator and studio lighting. Audio support includes digital recording and processing equipment.

Post production is supported with multiple A/B roll tape-to-tape edit systems (in U-Matic, Betacam and S-VHS formats) and 17 non-linear digital editing systems (utilizing virtually all analog and digital formats). The digital NLEs feature high quality, no-loss editing for unlimited tracks of video and audio. All workstations also include digital imaging and web
page generation software.

High Definition Video Camera

Field production is supported with 8 professional digital camcorders, Betacam and several U-Matic recorders. Field audio recording is supported with ADAT, professional microphones (including radio frequency mics), boom mics and audio mixing equipment. A full complement of grip equipment is available as well, including portable lighting, C-stands, reflectors, diffusers, flags, goboes, etc.
Students in good standing who have received training on specific equipment (and are working on class assignments) have the privilege of checking out any portable equipment for 2 working day periods at a time and/or using fixed equipment and facilities (studio, editors, etc.) when not in use by classes.
This is the worlds first 1080i camera with a high definition resolution of 1440 x 1080. This camera shoots in both High Def, but it also shoots in regular DV. The revolution has begun.
