Instructions for Filing an Intent to Graduate Form
- Obtain a graduation packet which includes the Intent to Graduate Form from Student Services or Admissions and Records at any Pellissippi State campus
during regular business hours. Complete the personal data section at the top of the form. The Intent to Graduate remains valid for four (4) semesters after the date of submission.
- Career/Technical (AAS degree) students need to visit the Placement Office (GN105) at
the Pellissippi campus or call (694-6559) to set up an appointment to complete a placement file and have the Intent to
Graduate Form date stamped.
- University Parallel (AA/AS degree) students need to verify that all transfer credit has
been accounted for by reviewing your transcript on myPellissippi or with an advisor.
- Make appointment with your advisor to discuss requirements and review form prior to the last day of
early registration. It is each student's responsibility to check his/her status, update contact information, and to resolve any graduation deficiencies.
- The next semester you may verify with the Admissions and Records Office (694-6561) that your Intent to Graduate Form was received. If you have outstanding obligations to the College or other problems that would prevent your graduation, the Admissions and Records Office will notify you. NOTE: Students jeopardize their graduation status by changing their final semester course schedule. Consult with your advisor about any changes.
- Register for the state-required general education exit test (CBASE) through myPellissippi, or by submitting a
registration form to the Admissions & Records Office. Dates, times, and section numbers are provided in
this packet. This exit exam is mandatory. EXCEPTION: You may be exempt from taking the CBASE exit exam if a prior degree has been earned or if
English is your second language. Contact Barbara Bailes at 865-694-6454 if you have questions about testing dates.
- Student Loan Recipients (Federal Stafford Loans) must complete an exit loan counseling session. To schedule a session, call the Financial Aid Office, 694-6565 (Pellissippi campus), 981-5335 (Blount County Center), 971-5250 (Division Street), or 329-3100 (Magnolia Avenue).
