Pellissippi State's Electrical Engineering Technology  program is designed to train individuals to function effectively as assistants to electrical engineers or independently as electrical/electronics technicians.

The program prepares electrical engineering technicians to translate the engineer's designs into systems and projects, collect and analyze data, develop design layouts, inspect work, check and repair equipment and prepare reports for the engineering team.

  • Electrical engineering technicians acquire a general education background, including mathematics and science, while studying electricity and electronics and associated technical applications. 
  • Accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. 
  • Students may pursue a three-year program that will result in an A.A.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology and will qualify the student to enter a baccalaureate engineering program as a junior.
