When is payday?
Payday is the last working day of each month.
When are part-time and work study employees’ time sheets due in Payroll?
Time sheets are due in Payroll on the 15th of each month.
If the 15th is on the weekend, time sheets are due in Payroll on the first working day which is normally on Monday. If there is a change in the due date, the payroll office will send out notification concerning the due date. This may occur in June and December.
What dates should be on part-time and work study employees’ time sheets?
Time sheets start on the 13th of one month and end the 12th of the following month. (Example: March 13, 2013 through April 12, 2013)
When are regular full-time and regular part-time employees’ time sheets and leave information due in Payroll?
Time sheets and leave information are due in Payroll on the third working day of the month.
How do I report partial hours on time sheets and leave forms?
Policy states that hours are to be reported in tenths of hours. (Example: 7.5, 4.3, 8.1)
Use the following chart to convert minutes to tenths of an hour:
1 – 6 minutes = .1 hour
7 – 12 minutes = .2 hour
13 – 18 minutes = .3 hour
19 – 24 minutes = .4 hour
25 – 30 minutes = .5 hour
31 – 36 minutes = .6 hour
37 – 42 minutes = .7 hour
43 – 48 minutes = .8 hour
49 – 54 minutes = .9 hour
55 – 60 minutes = 1.0 hour
When are contracts due in Payroll to be paid in the current month’s payroll?
The completed contracts are due in Payroll on the 15th of the month to be paid in the current months’ payroll.
When are adjunct faculty paid?
Fall Adjunct Faculty are paid in four (4) equal payments, September, October, November, and December.
Spring Adjunct Faculty are paid in four (4) equal payments, February, March, April, and May.
Summer, Fast Track, and Business and Community Services Adjunct Faculty are paid according to the dates established on the contracts.
Where can I obtain my payroll information?
You may log on to MyPellissippi, Employee tab. On the left of the screen, you may click on Banner Self-Service Menu, or on the right of the screen, you may click on Benefits, Direct Deposit, Pay Stub, Job Details, Leave Details or Tax form to view your information.
I am a student, why are taxes not being taken out of my check:
All students who are enrolled in six (6) or more credit hours qualify for exemption from FICA/FICA Med taxes. Federal income tax is based on your filing status elected on your W-4 Federal Withholding Allowance form.
Do I have to have direct deposit?
As of October 24, 2012, all new full-time, part-time, and adjuncts are required to have direct deposit.
Where is the Direct Deposit Agreement located to complete?
The Direct Deposit Agreement is under Payroll Forms on the Payroll website. Complete the form, print and send it to Payroll by the 15th of the month to process in the current month’s payroll.
If I close my bank account or change my bank account to a different bank or account, what should I do?
You should immediately notify the Payroll Office by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition, you should complete a new Direct Deposit Agreement and return it to Payroll by the 15th of the month to activate a new account beginning the current months payroll.
