Mission and Goals of Alumni Relations
Alumni Relations Mission Statement
The mission of Pellissippi State Alumni Relations is to strengthen the link between the College and its alumni through activities and services that will
- Facilitate the growth of our alumni program
- Offer continuing education, social interaction and ongoing career development for alumni
- Support the College and its mission through friend raising and fundraising
- Foster a spirit of loyalty and commitment to Pellissippi State
Alumni Relations Goals and Benchmarks 2005-2010
Goal 1: Maintain an informed and interested body of alumni that supports the students, programs, and mission of Pellissippi State with their contributions of time, talent, and money.
- Increase active participation in the Alumni Program to 100 alumni and friends.
- Organize an alumni committee for fundraising and Alumni Relations events.
Goal 2: Support and assist in fundraising for the benefit of Pellissippi State Technical Community College.
- Establish a need-based Alumni Scholarship.
Goal 3: Promote the College in the community through the continuing success of its alumni.
- Establish an award to recognize alumni for outstanding accomplishments.
- Promote a positive image of our College and graduates by providing services and events for alumni, students, and the business community.
Goal 4: Provide benefits and services to Pellissippi State alumni
- Provide a medium (such as a Web site) by which graduates can maintain contact with one another.
- Publish an online newsletter.
- Organize and promote unique continuing education opportunities for Pellissippi State alumni.
- Advertise College programs that might be of interest to alumni, such as the annual Career Day.
