Giving to the Foundation

Planning Your Estate

The Foundation also offers planned giving opportunities. A gift through your will or trust may qualify your estate for a charitable tax deduction. The charitable tax deduction you receive will decrease the size of your taxable estate as well as offset the remaining estate tax that may be due upon your death.

We would be pleased to work with you and/or your advisor to incorporate a gift to Pellissippi State Foundation into your will or trust. We can assist you in shaping your bequest to meet your philanthropic goals. See Options for Planned Giving for descriptions of various gifts.

Prior Approval or Advance Notification

Many types of planned gifts require prior approval for acceptance. Some, such as wills, do not, but we encourage donors to advise us of their plans. After your attorney has prepared the necessary papers, it is helpful to have a photocopy of the section that mentions the Pellissippi State Foundation sent to our office.We can then work with you to insure that we follow your wishes exactly.

Pellissippi State Heritage Society

We extend membership in the Pellissippi State Heritage Society to all donors who notify the Foundation Office of their intent to leave a planned gift to the Foundation. For more information on our recognition societies, see Giving Levels and Societies .
