The Practical Uses of Microsoft OneNote

OneNote 2016 is a digital notebook that provides a single place for all of your notes and information - everything you need to remember and manage in your life at home, at work, or at school.

In OneNote, your notebooks never run out of paper. They are easy to reorganize, print, and share, and you can search all your notes quickly so you can find notes even if you forget where you put them. Best of all, you can store your notebooks online and get to them using any of your devices.

Workshop to include:

  1. The basic functionality of a OneNote Notebook and some features to help you work more effectively
  2. The use of Sections, Section Groups, Templates, and other layout tips and tricks
  3. How to use OneNote to improve productivity and time management
  4. Integrate various content into notes – screen clippings, images, audio, video & Excel spreadsheets
  5. Managing project or team information through shared notebooks

Please RSVP by signing up here with your Pellissippi email address and password (login required).

Brightspace/D2L Basics (Online Courses system) for Students

At the start of each semester, Helpdesk and Open computer labs offer a standalone, one-hour seminar where students learn how to navigate Pellissippi's online learning system, used for both online-only courses and courses which meet in person.

Students who are not able to attend these sessions are encouraged to come by any Open computer lab, at any time during the semester, for one-on-one assistance with Brightspace/D2L.

Please check this space for announcements about upcoming training sessions.
