Welcome to the GED Testing Center!
The General Educational Development Tests are designed to
measure skills associated with four years of regular high school
instruction. The GED test covers a wide range of subjects and consists of
5 subtests, including Writing Skills, Social Studies, Science,

an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma.
Eligibility Requirements To take the GED test, examinees must be at least 17 years of age
and have not received a high school diploma or GED. Individuals who are 17
or 18 years old must have an "Age Waiver" completed and submitted to the
Test Examiner in order to test. Anyone that has been enrolled in high
school during the last year will also be required to have an Age Waiver
regardless of age.
Age Waivers can be obtained from the Attendance
Supervisor in the school system from which the individual withdrew.

Thursdays and one Saturday a month) at the Pellissippi Parkway campus in
Knoxville. It is also offered on one Saturday a month in Blount County.
