About the PSTCC Library - 2
|
- What Library Services are available at the Division
Street Campus, the Blount County Center, and the Magnolia Avenue Campus?
The Division Street, Blount County, and Magnolia Avenue
ERC's have a small collection of reference books and 1000 books that you
may check out. There are also some current periodicals, computers
with access to electronic journals, the on-line catalog, and other
online resources.
Library users may request books or periodical articles from any
campus. Books will be delivered by the intercampus courier.
Articles will be faxed to the requesting location.
Yes, a valid updated Pellissippi State ID card must be
presented at the Circulation Desk to check out books or periodicals and
to use materials placed on reserve. At the beginning of each
semester, identification cards are issued and validated at each
campus or center's Circulation Desk.
- What do I need to know about borrowing books?
There is no limit on the number of books which may be
checked out, and you may keep books for two weeks. We ask that you be
considerate of other patrons who may also need to use our
resources.
Provided that no one else has requested them, you may renew
your books either in person or by calling the Circulation Desk. When using
the online catalog, you may
review or renew items checked out to you and also find out when they are
due. To do so click on the My
Account button on the online search screen (http://library.tntech.edu/patroninfo~S6)
Please
note that there are no fines charged on overdue materials; however, if
you do not return them after notification by the library, you will be
charged the replacement cost and a non-refundable fee for the materials.
- May I check out periodicals?
Periodicals, except for the current issue, may be checked out for 3
days. Periodicals are not renewable.
- Do you have study rooms?
The Pellissippi Campus Library has six study rooms
which may be reserved in person or by calling the Reference Desk (865
539-7107). These rooms are intended for use by groups of two or more
students. Each student may reserve a room for one two-hour block each
day. White boards are available in each room. Please check with the ERC
coordinator at other campus locations for the availability of study
rooms at those sites.
